DEERFIELD TWP., Ohio - Deputies are looking for a woman who impersonated an employee and stole money from a Waffle House in Deerfield Township early Monday morning.
A white female entered the restaurant, located at 9725 Mason Montgomery Road, at about 2:45 a.m., according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman told employees that she was an “auditor” for the restaurant chain and she began to inspect the premises.
The suspect stayed in the restaurant for about 45 minutes when she asked an employee to print out the evening sales receipts and open the cash register.
While the employee was distracted, the suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and fled the store.
The suspect is described as a white female with dark hair who was wearing grey pants, red shirt and black Adidas flip-flops.
Photos of the suspect were obtained from surveillance cameras inside the store.
Anyone who can identify the suspect should call Detective Jerry Niffenegger at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at (513) 701-1807 or CrimeStoppers at (513) 352-3040.
