2 injured in Oxford Twp. crash

Crash on US 27 in Oxford Township.

OXFORD TWP., Ohio - Two men are recovering after the truck they were in crashed in Oxford Township on Friday.

Oxford Township police say the large tree service truck crashed in the 6900 block of US 27 around 11:40 a.m.

Officers arrived and found the driver, Jon Byrd, injured and outside of the vehicle. The passenger, Bob Marcum, was trapped in the wreckage for approximately one hour before he was extricated.

Marcum was flown by an Air Care medical helicopter to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the cause of the accident was Byrd's inattention. Charges are pending.
