2-alarm fire strikes Fairfield apartment building

FAIRFIELD, Ohio - Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at an apartment building at the intersection of Woodridge Blvd. and Providence Dr. in Fairfield Wednesday night.

Police say over 45 people are displaced as a result of smoke damage to the 12-unit building. The Red Cross arrived on the scene to help find places for the victims to stay Wednesday night.

No injuries were reported and no other information is available at this time.

The cause of the fire is not known and is still under investigation.
