Police say an 18-year-old woman made up an abduction story.
The Greensburg Police Department arrested Tina Anne Dixon, 18, Thursday and charged her with false reporting as a class A misdemeanor.
At around 10 p.m. Monday, police say Dixon called 911 reporting she had been the victim of an abduction on Freeland Road near the Greensburg Walmart store. Dixon reported she was taken in a vehicle and let out approximately six miles north of Greensburg on SR 3 after being touched inappropriately by two males in the vehicle.
Upon investigation, Greensburg police determined that Dixon falsified her statement and the abduction did not occur.
A report of a 13-year-old being abducted on Sept. 17 is still under investigation .
