INDIANAPOLIS - Officials at Indiana University decided to pull an app created by the Kinsey Institute that anonymously tracks information about people's sex lives.
The Kinsey Reporter allowed people to report a wide variety of sexual behaviors from public displays of affection to sexual activity to even birth control use.
According to an article by USA Today , Indiana University President Michael McRobbie was concerned the app violated privacy issues and data protection.
"The decision was made late in the day to withdraw it until our concerns can be alleviated," said university spokesman Mark Land.
Kinsey Institute researchers say they planned to use the information in their studies. The institute has not released at statement on the university's decision at this time.
