DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. - A Cincinnati man has been arrested in connection with an attempted daytime burglary at a house in Dearborn County, Ind.

Ryan P. Taulbee, 27, of 811 W. Seymour St., was arrested Dec. 3 after he was spotted walking on Augusta Drive near the Sugar Ridge Golf Course, not far from where the incident occurred.

Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of Stateline Road at about 12:27 p.m. Dec. 3 for a “burglary in progress” call.

After arriving at the home, deputies were told there was three suspects. One of the suspects fled on foot while the other two had left in a Dodge pickup truck headed north on Stateline Road, deputies said.

Deputies spotted the pickup truck and chased it with their cruisers, but were unable to maintain speed on the rural road. The truck was found later crashed into a tree, and the two suspects apparently had left the scene.

Shortly thereafter, a person matching the description of the suspect who fled on foot was spotted walking out of a wooded area on Augusta Drive and deputies arrested him.

Taulbee has been charged with attempt to commit burglary, which is a Class B felony, according to the Dearborn County Prosecutor’s Office.

The two additional suspects remain at large. Anyone with information should call the Special Crimes Unit at (812) 537-3571.
