SYMMES TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Symmes Township hair salon raised thousands of dollars this weekend for pancreatic cancer research.
The design team of Me Salon, a Cara d'Ambrosio Salon, teamed up with MTM model agency, event planner Libby Hodapp, and local clothing designer, Amy Kirchen, for a hair and clothing fashion show. The evening also included a silent auction and raffle that helped bring in the money.
The event was held a few doors down from Me Salon in a vacant space at the Shops of Harper's Point.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
According to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers and is the fourth-leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
