SYCAMORE TWP., Ohio - With just days until Christmas local malls are packed with people hoping to finish their holiday shopping.
"I've got one thing left to get," said John McSwain from Milford.
McSwain is like millions of Americans waiting until the last minute to finish their Christmas shopping.
Industry experts say 35 percent of Americans are not done with their holiday shopping. That's up 5 percent from 2011.
The good news for shoppers is that slow sales have forced many retailers to slash prices.
Stores can make as much as 40 percent of their annual revenue in the two months leading up to Christmas.
Some stores like Macy's and Toys R' Us are even staying open 24 hours a day in the days leading up to Christmas to try to make the most of the holiday season.
