CINCINNATI - A construction project in Oakley will develop even more beginning Tuesday.
New lanes are opening Tuesday at Duck Creek and Kennedy Road to allow construction to continue for the Kennedy Connector.
Construction for the project, which aims to extend Kennedy Avenue to connect to Madison Road, began May 21 .
When the Kennedy Connector is complete, it will have five lanes, including a center, left-turn only lane. The new roadway also will feature landscaping and sidewalks on both sides. Infrastructure to accommodate bicycle traffic will be included in the new section, too.
The Kennedy Connector project is one of the transportation/infrastructure improvement projects identified by the Eastern Corridor project and construction is expected to be completed in fall 2013.
