CINCINNATI - Police are looking for a suspect who drove a vehicle into a Mt. Washington building early Thursday morning during an attempted robbery.

Officials say they responded to 6239 Corbly Street at about 1 a.m. and found a vehicle that had collided into the side of the apartment building.

Authorities say they believe the collision happened after a male suspect attempted to steal the vehicle. The suspect allegedly rummaged through the vehicle and found a spare key, which he then used to start the vehicle.

However, the suspect didn’t get far with the vehicle. He crashed the vehicle into the side of the apartment building causing the airbags to deploy and other damage to the vehicle.

The suspect fled on foot after the crash. Witnesses say the suspect was a heavyset male wearing a red T-shirt at the time of the crime.

Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
