Police said when arrived at the scene, the girl’s mother had already pulled her from the water and a bystander was administering CPR.

The child was transported by ambulance to Bethesda North Hospital where medical staff were able to get a pulse and stabilize her, according to officials.

She was then taken by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital.
