MADISONVILLE, Ohio - A Madisonville school was on lockdown Tuesday morning after a nearby shooting that injured two people.

John P. Parker School , 5051 Anderson Place was on lockdown after one person was shot in the face and another person shot in the arm less than a mile away from the school at about 11 a.m. The school, which is part of Cincinnati Public Schools, is for students in preschool through eighth grade. Police cleared the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. and the lockdown was lifted.

A person was found shot in an SUV in the 5200 block of Whetsel Avenue. Authorities said the first victim was shot in the face, and later said another victim was found with a gunshot wound to the arm. Officials have not released information about either victims' condition.

Officials were at the scene working to determine what led to the shooting and if there are any suspects. They have not released any additional details at this time.
