NEW VIENNA, Ohio - Police continue to investigate an alleged abduction in Clinton County where a woman was reportedly held against her will inside her home.

The incident happened over the weekend in New Vienna. Police say Matthew Warren, 35, had been at the woman's home for a party and later returned, refusing to leave.

When the woman protested, Warren allegedly forced her down and threatened to sexually assault her. According to police, he told the woman he would kill her and then shoot her up with drugs to make it look like an overdose.

Officials say the victim was able to send a text message to a relative who then called police.

Warren, a resident of Hillsboro, faces abduction and assault charges and is currently being held at the Clinton County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.
