Funeral services scheduled for 9-year-old Brown County boy who was accidentally shot in the head

BROWN COUNTY, Ohio - Funeral arrangements for Sebastian Swartz, the 9-year-old boy who was accidentally shot in the head in his Brown County home, were announced Sunday.

Friends and family can pay their respects at Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville, Ohio, Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the funeral home. Services begin at 11 a.m.

Sebastian will be buried at Linwood Cemetery following the funeral.

The accident that resulted in Sebastian's death occurred Feb. 18 after he found an unsecured handgun in his parents' bedroom. The gun accidentally discharged after a struggle between Sebastian and one of his sisters.
