CLERMONT CO., Ohio - The Clermont Northeastern Elementary School began Tuesday without one of its second grade students.

Cheyenne Ward was killed in a fire Friday morning at a home on U.S. 50 in Jackson Township. The fire started just before 12 a.m. Thursday.

Grief counselors will be at the school talking with students who need them.

The desk was already set up for the 8-year old and former teachers had nothing be good things to say about Cheyenne.

Investigators said the fire was accidental, caused by an electrical malfunction. Smoke detectors were in the house, but did not activate.
