CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio - The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office is searching for clues related to a decomposed male body found in a wooded area Friday evening.
According to 9 On Your Side reporter Bryce Anslinger, deputies were called to a heavily wooded area between U.S. 32 and Old State Route 74 after people in the area had discovered a body.
"[Friday] evening at approximately 5 p.m. a dead body was found in a tent in a wooded area of Batavia (Township)...(There is no) evidence of foul play at this point but the matter is being investigated," wrote Clermont County Sheriff A.J. Rodenberg in a press release.
The scene was cleared as of 8:22 p.m., but investigators are actively working to determine the cause of death.
