BLUE ASH, Ohio - One person is dead after a crash on Ronald Reagan Highway in Blue Ash Friday morning.

Police say 67-year-old John Bigane of Cincinnati died after he was involved in a two-vehicle accident on westbound Ronald Reagan at southbound I-71 around 7:30 a.m. The crash shut down westbound Ronald Reagan for more than an hour.

Police say 27-year-old Jessica Abhat of Cold Spring was traveling westbound on Ronald Reagan approaching the exit ramp to southbound I-71 when she hit  Bigane's vehicle. Bigane did not yield to the right of way at a stop sign when he was attempting to turn eastbound onto Ronald Reagan from the southbound I-71 exit ramp, according to police.

Emergency crews transported Bigane to Bethesda North Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Abhat was transported to Christ Hospital where she is in stable condition.

Police say alcohol and drugs are not believe to be factors in the crash. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

The Hamilton County Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash.
