ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Alcohol is believed to have played a role in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place in Anderson Township Saturday evening, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Tracy Bowling, 37, of Cincinnati was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson along Kellogg Avenue at Old Kellogg Road around 9 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a slight left-hand curve, causing his motorcycle to travel off the right side of the road and strike a guardrail. Bowling was ejected from the motorcycle when it hit the guardrail, according to deputies.

Emergency crews found the victim unresponsive in the street. Deuputies say Bowling was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Bowling was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 10:23 p.m.

The accident remains under investigation.
