AMELIA, Ohio - The remains of PFC Jonathon Crawford will arrive at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Thursday at 4 pm.

Crawford was a 2012 graduate of Amelia High School. He drowned a few hours after graduating from basic training at Parris Island in South Carolina. His body was recovered Sept. 9.

A Marine spokesperson says Crawford was an exemplary recruit.

There will be a processional to honor and remember PFC Crawford. The procession will begin at CVG and travel along I-275 Eastbound, to the Beechmont Avenue exit. It will then travel east down State Route 125 to Nurre Funeral Home at 177 West Main Street in Amelia.

The procession is expected to arrive at the Funeral Home around 5:15 pm. You are encouraged to line the procession route to honor Crawford.

A visitation will be on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon at Nurre Funeral Home, with the funeral immediately following.
