CINCINNATI - Two victims were transported to a local medical facility Saturday evening for injuries they sustained during a small fire at an apartment building in Walnut Hills.
Fire officials say the blaze originated in the bedroom of a third floor of the 12-family brick apartment building located at 810 Oak Street. One occupant of the building tried to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
Both of the people being treated for injuries were transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Their identities were not released but medical officials say they're both in "good condition."
Emergency crews had to help remove at least one person from the building. It is unclear how many people were inside the building at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
