CINCINNATI - A driver's vehicle overturned after he led police on a chase in Springdale early Wednesday morning.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they attempted to pull over the driver on Springfield Pike for improper lane change just after 3 a.m. They say when the officer reached the driver's window, he fled from the scene.
The driver allegedly lost control after hitting rocks and grass while attempting to get on I-275. Police say that's when the driver went over the embankment and the vehicle overturned. The troopers at the scene found the driver on the ground near the vehicle.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
They say drug paraphernalia was found inside the crashed vehicle. The man will also be charged with having criminal tools, among other things.
Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
