SPRINGDALE, Ohio - A surveillance camera and bait money were two ways a local police agency gathered evidence against a Springdale nurse who was allegedly stealing from her patients.

Karen Greynolds, 38, of Cincinnati was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Springdale police on a felony burglary charge.

Greynolds was arrested at her workplace, Maple Knoll Village, a large elderly care facility located at 11100 Springfield Pike.

9 News has learned Greynolds allegedly entered a woman's room and stole $40 from her purse. That crime was caught on surveillance camera. The money had been placed there by police.

It is unclear whether police or the facility installed the camera.  Police do say the camera was placed there because of money that had gone missing from the victim in the past.

Greynolds was charged with felony burglary and as of Wednesday morning, is locked up at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
