SPRINGDALE, Ohio - Two people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Springdale.

The chase happened around 12:30 p.m. and ended when the suspect crashed at Crescentville Road and State Route 747.

Police say the suspect took off running through GE Park, which is nearby the location of the crash, but he was taken into custody shortly after taking off.

Police say three people were injured as a result of the crash, but did not say who sustained the injuries.

At least three vehicles were involved, including a Fedex truck.

State Route 747 was shut down in the area of the accident while officers investigate the crash, but they believe it will be reopened by rush hour.

Officials have not released why they were chasing the suspect to begin with.
