CINCINNATI - A Cincinnati police officer was injured in an accident in Over-the-Rhine Monday afternoon.

The officer became trapped after an apparent accident with another vehicle at the corner of Dunlap and Henry streets just after noon.

According to police, the officer was driving south on Dunlap Street when a van pulled out in front of his cruiser from Henry Street. There is no stop sign for traffic on Henry Street at that intersection.

Both the driver of the van and the officer were transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. A third person also was taken to a hospital.
