CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police say a man stole a woman's identity then set up a phony business.

Police arrested Ismail Shalash, 25, on Friday.

According to court records, Shalash created a fraudulent business called "Leila Beauty Wholesale" and operated it out of a used car lot on Spring Grove Avenue. He then obtained a credit card billing machine for the bogus busniess.

In November 2009, that's when Shalash allegedly obtained credit card numbers from seven people without their permission, then processed 24 charges totalling $8,020.56.

Shalash is charged with telecommunications fraud and was arraigned Saturday morning.
