CINCINNATI - The winds whipping across the Tri-State Monday created a scary situation for residents in Mount Adams Monday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m. a piece of scaffolding crashed into power lines along Baum Street. Crews told 9 On Your Side heavy tarps were in place to hold the scaffolding down, but the wind was too strong.

Painters were working on the home inside and contacted the construction crew in charge of the site when the scaffolding fell. Crews left another job site to come to the scene and remedy the situation.

Authorities said no one was on the scaffolding when it was knocked over and no one was injured.

Power wasn't knocked out at the time of the accident, but Duke Energy had to shut power off for a half an hour until the scene was cleared.
