CINCINNATI - One woman decided to take her battle with cancer and find the good side of it.
Cincinnati resident and author Tami Boehmer spoke to people who survived a diagnosis of terminal cancer.
She then shared their stories and her own in her book, "From incurable to incredible."
Boehmer has survived stage IV breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2002 and 2008.
The book features cancer survivors who beat the odds.
Boehmer says the book includes valuable information on healing the body, mind, and spirit.
One of the attributes of "miracle survivors" as Boehmer calls herself and others is refusing to buy into statistics and the death sentences may of them were given.
She says you must be a proactive participant in your health care.
She also sites giving back and making a difference in other people's lives as a way to transform your life.
Boehmer has a website and blog at www.miraclesurvivors.com.
The book also includes discussion questions to help readers evaluate their own attitudes about their disease.
