CINCINNATI - The victim in a Lincoln Heights shooting faced a whole new problem after being treated for his wound.

Scottie Gray, 35, of Lincoln Heights, came into the Lincoln Heights Police Department around 8:30 p.m. Monday night, saying he had been shot in a drive-by-shooting. He was then taken to University Hospital.

According to police in Lincoln Heights, while Gray was at the hospital being treated for that gunshot wound, he asked a nurse to reach into his pocket for his phone. What she was found was crack cocaine.

After being treated for the wound, he was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Gray is charged with felony drug possession.

Police say they do have a suspect in the shooting of Gray, but have not released whether he is facing any charges.

Police also say Gray was not cooperative in their investigation.
