CINCINNATI - The Greater Cincinnati-Dayton region of the American Red Cross has deployed volunteers and an Emergency Response Vehicle to Florida in preparation of Tropical Storm Isaac's landfall.
Volunteers will help with mobile feeding and distribution of recovery and clean up supplies.
"About a dozen volunteers left on Friday with our Emergency Response Vehicle to join 28 other Red Cross chapters to prepare for the relief effort," said Scott Gehring with the Red Cross. "We have another 40 volunteers on stand-by should the disaster escalate."
The Red Cross also just launched a hurricane app that gives real time updates on the storm and allows users to connect to their social media. If you would like more information, you can go to redcross.org .
