Suspect sought in robbery outside gas station near Xavier University

CINCINNATI - A suspect is sought in a Monday morning robbery at a local gas station.

The store clerk at the Marathon gas station located at 3601 Montgomery Road was delivering the weekend deposit bag to the store owner when a male suspect grabbed the money bag the clerk was carrying, according to police.

The two proceeded to struggle with each other until the suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said. No weapon was shown, but the store clerk did suffer minor injuries after falling during the struggle with the suspect, said Cincinnati police Detective Will Kinney.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, 190 pounds with long dreadlocks and a lengthy beard.
