CINCINNATI - Duke Energy is recognizing a local community for its efforts in saving energy.
Duke will give back $20,000 as a rebate check to Saint Bernard after the community made efforts to save energy over the last six months. The most notable change made was adjustments to lighting in all city buildings and parking lots.
The changes made by the neighborhood are expected to save up to $70,000 a year.
Duke will present the rebate check at 7:30 p.m. during the neighborhood's council meeting.
