CINCINNATI - An odd arrest has occurred inside the Hamilton County library's downtown branch, continuing a trend there.
Officials arrested 21-year-old Ashley Goodwin after they say she was in the Hamilton County Public Library, 800 Vine Street, exposing herself and soliciting her services as a prostitute to library patrons. Court paperwork says she she spread her legs and told visitors "I'm a prostitute."
Also, a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy says Goodwin was seen in the library with a can of malt liquor in her hand and was also saying sexually suggestive things to kids inside the facility.
Goodwin, who deputies say is homeless, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction and open container.
Last year, a 9 News investigation revealed more than 700 criminal charges had been filed at the library since 2009 — a number that is even higher now. The director of the library at that time denied the library has a crime problem.
Officials have not released any additional details about Goodwin’s arrest.
