CINCINNATI - Would you run naked through the center of town?
The non-profit organization Keep Cincinnati Beautiful expects you probably wouldn't, but you may have seen billboards springing up around Cincinnati alluding to “running in the buff” through parts of town.
They are part of the "Littering is wrong, too" campaign, aimed at playfully reminding us to help keep the city clean of trash.
Linda Holterhoff, executive director of Keep Cincinnati Beautiful said that "what we're doing is trying to pair two wrongs. People we have done focus groups with say that people litter because they're lazy, they don't care or they're just plain jerks. So we're looking at what's jerky behavior, and we're saying that jerky behavior and littering is wrong, too."
The ads are part of a pilot program sponsored by Keep America Beautiful. Local organizers say if the campaign is successful here, it may go national.
You can send in your own 'jerky behavior' (meaning your pet peeves) to their website litteringiswrongtoo.org. You may even win a prize.
