Witness recalls events after balcony fall

CINCINNATI - Police believe 24-year-old Alexander Crouch of Fortville, Ind. was with a bachelor party early Sunday morning when he fell from a 16th-floor balcony at a downtown hotel

9 On Your Side reporter Amy Wadas spoke with Mark Gray who was only blocks away from the Garfield Suites Hotel where the incident took place.

"I could see from down the street, they had another separate area taped off pretty much in this area, box where the guy had fallen."

Gray said he’ll have a difficult time forgetting what he saw Sunday.

"Hanging out, partying over the weekend, and the next thing you know, your friend is gone," Gray said. "It's pretty disturbing. I've never been in a situation where I've seen something like that."

Investigators are still attempting to determine what caused Crouch to fall from the balcony.
