CINCINNATI - Cincinnati’s new downtown casino is kicking off its first hiring frenzy next week as it works toward its goal of hiring about 1,700 Tri-State residents.

The Cincinnati Horseshoe Casino is hiring a total of about 1,700 positions to staff the casino, which is located at 1000 Broadway Street. From Aug. 22 through Sept. 16, recruiters are looking to hire about 750 dealers for table games and supervisor positions.

Additional phases of recruiting will be announced later in the year and will include non-gaming and food and beverage positions as well as management and administrative jobs.

Casino recruiters said they expect a great turnout of applications from Tri-State residents as about 70,000 northern Ohio residents applied for 1,600 jobs available at the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, which opened to the public in May.

Cincinnati Horseshoe Casino is set to open in spring 2013.
