CINCINNATI - The fans came out to watch the Cincinnati Reds take on the San Francisco Giants in their first playoff game of the season.

Fans gathered in Fountain Square despite Saturday's cold temperatures to watch the teams play on the big screen. However, many people were wearing sweatshirts, scarves, gloves and even bundling up in blankets to stay warm.

Reds fan Mike Stansberry said nothing beats watching the game downtown.

"You gotta get behind the home team and cheer them on," he said. "It doesn't matter where you're at."

"I can't believe we're here," Reds fan Jennifer Lenihan said. "It's great, it's been a fun season to watch the Reds for sure."

Things were also bustling at the Holy Grail Tavern and Grille at The Banks.

"It's gonna send business up, makes happy employees, happy everybody, just a great time," General Manager Nick Ramsey said.

Ramsey said he has never seen a happier crowd, and he certainly wasn't complaining.

The Reds play the Giants in San Francisco for a final time on Sunday at 9:30 p.m.

After that, both teams will play at Great American Ballpark for the final three games of the series.
