CINCINNATI - A lot of people are living through some challenging times these days.
Well, you may want to get your laugh on.
Sally Baucke is a local comedian who has been able to laugh at the hard times and turn it into something positive.
Baucke, who is a registered nurse, says laughter is truly some of the best medicine.
Baucke was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and learned for herself the healing power of laughter.
Fibromyalgia causes people to feel pain throughout their body and tenderness in their joints.
"A cheerful heart really is good medicine," Baucke said.
Baucke says her comedic career started to take off after doing a 20 minute off the cuff routine at a church comedy night.
She was hired the next day.
Baucke has taken her experiences as a mom, nurse, comedian, and combined them to speak on different topics.
Baucke says she uses her gift of humor to communicate to the audience.
She is also a national speaker for Hearts at Home, a faith-based organization for mothers.
