CINCINNATI - There was speculation brewing Tuesday night that Cincinnati's police chief, James Craig, may leave the Queen City for a new position in Detroit.
Chief Craig spoke with 9 On Your Side and confirmed that he was recently contacted by a recruiter from Detroit by phone for a police chief position, but said has not interviewed or been offered the job.
Chief Craig said he won't completely rule out another option, but assured Cincinnati has been good to him and that he's very satisfied with his current job.
City Manager Milton Dahoney told Chief Craig he wants to keep him in Cincinnati.
Chief Craig still has five months left in his two-year contract.
