CINCINNATI - 9 News talks with Dr. Carol Bertke who says caring for your children's eyes is important for their success.
Dr. Bertke says it is necessary to have your children's eyes checked starting when they are a year old, again when they are 3 years old and 5 years old, and then every year after to ensure any problems are caught before they become serious issues.
She also tells 9 News that there have been significant advances in the contact lens industry making it easier for children to use lenses. Dr. Bertke says contacts can boost a child's confidence and help them succeed in school.
