CINCINNATI - Concerns that Cincinnati's preeminent jazz club, the Blue Wisp, would close spread rapidly after owner Edward Felsom sent out a newsletter that stated the venue's lease would end in February.
The 33-year-old business, which has had four homes in its history, currently resides at the corner of Seventh and Race streets. The Blue Wisp has only been at its present location for a year and Felsom would rather not move again.
While the property's management company has discussed the potential of rent being raised, it would still like the Blue Wisp to remain a permanent feature at the location.
Felsom said the only way the club would close is if it were forced to relocate to a fifth home.
