CINCINNATI - It's a very special visit for the Archbishop of Cincinnati as he travels to Rome to meet with the Pope.
The archdiocese says Archbishop Dennis Schnurr and Auxillary Bishop Joseph Binzer will join other bishops from around the country to discuss the state of American Catholicism with Pope Benedict XVI.
"In preparation for this meeting the dioceses' prepare an extensive report on the state of the diocese. In the case of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, I measured it, it's an inch and half thick reporting on the finances, school operations, communications just about any aspect that you can imagine," said archdiocese spokesman Dan Andriacco.
Andriacco says U.S. bishops usually have an audience with the Holy Father once every five to eight years.
