CINCINNATI - Downtown Cincinnati's Horseshoe Casino is getting closer to its Spring 2013 opening, and now the casino has opened its doors for the first sneak peek.
9 News got a first look inside the the Horseshoe Casino construction site downtown during a hard hat tour Thursday morning. There is still a lot of construction happening at the site on Broadway and Court streets.
Applications are being accepted online for another 10 days for the first round of 750 positions with Horseshoe Casino.
Meanwhile Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, just 30 miles away is laying off 160 full-time workers . Officials with Penn National Gaming say consumers are spending less money and the expansion of casino sites in Ohio are to blame for the layoffs.
