One week after 13 workers were injured at the Horseshoe Casino construction site, some of the debris is being removed from the collapsed section.
The 60-by-60 section of decking that collapsed has been off limits while OSHA did an investigation. Now that collapse site is being prepared for the debris to be removed and the site to be rebuilt.
Construction employees went back to work at the site Wednesday and new safety plans are being practiced to keep workers safe.
Messer Construction says it has added a second full-time Safety Manager to the project and additional procedures have been added to keep workers safe.
About 100 workers returned to the site five days after the collapse and another 100 are expected to return within the next few weeks.
One of the injured workers is still hospitalized at Bethesda North.
