CINCINNATI - Police are asking for the public's help to find a person they believe vandalized a home located on West Clifton Avenue.

At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a surveillance video camera recorded a man picking up a rock from a stone fence and heaving it toward the front door.

The rock hit a plexiglass window and bounced back toward the man, and he turned his head away from the rock and put his hands up to prevent it from hitting him.

The man in the video then picked the rock up from the front porch and heaved it again and the same result happened, except this time the rock busted into pieces when it hit a welcome mat.

Britney Beeler, 21, shares the home with her brother James, 19, while the two attend college classes. Britney called 911 when she got home and saw glass all over her living room. The glass apparently came from a broken window that was not in view of a camera.

"I was legit scared that somebody was inside," she said.

She called her brother and father, in Loveland, Ohio, and they immediately got online to look over the footage.

"Stupid yeah, but mostly funny, because he couldn't even vandalize the house the right way," James said.

Britney's fear turned to comic relief when she saw the video.

"I just laughed," Britney said while chuckling. "I was like wow, that happened."

The police, however, are not laughing. They are searching for the suspect and want anyone who may know who is pictured in the video to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.

Britney thinks whoever the guy is will be able to laugh at the video — once police are finished with him.

"Well, I don't think he knew we had the cameras up at the time," Britney said.  "He'll see how funny it really was."
