CINCINNATI - An armed suspect is at large after allegedly robbing a gas station near the University of Cincinnati Tuesday morning.

Cincinnati police have shut down the Shell gas station at the intersection of Calhoun Street and Ohio Avenue to investigate an armed robbery, which occurred at approximately 6 a.m.

The suspect, wearing an orange hooded coat with graphics on the back, fled the scene and was last seen on West McMillan Street near Moerlein Avenue running toward the Stop'n Go convenience store, according to police.

It's not known what kind of weapon the suspect allegedly brandished or if anyone was injured in the incident.
