CINCINNATI - Bridgett Raffenberg of Springfield Township needed something to do: something that wasn’t like the things she and her husband, recent empty-nesters, didn’t do already. She needed new places to eat, visit and enjoy in Cincinnati.
So, she decided to make it her mission to find something new in Greater Cincinnati every day.
That’s how 365Cincinnati.com was born. It’s a blog dedicated to finding something new to do each day in the Tri-state. And so far, she’s having no shortage of ideas.
In fact, her Facebook page alone shows more than 23,000 people following her each and every entry. And they are providing new ideas for her all the time.
So far, she’s enjoyed just about everything she’s seen and done, from bowling alleys to parks she’d never explored before. For a woman who has spent most of her life in Cincinnati, she’s finding new and exciting parts of the area every week.
Raffenberg, a former stay-at-home mom and school teacher, is hoping this adventure will turn into a full-time, paying job. She’s also starting to think a book could be in her future.
Here are her top five most memorable “things to do”:
1. Architreks tours of downtown and Mt. Adams
2. Tour of Over-the-Rhine, including old Cincinnati breweries
3. Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park
4. Blooms ‘n’ Berries You Pick ‘Em Farm in Loveland
5. Her visits of various dairy whip locations around town
