DAYTON, Ohio - A Cincinnati Reds farm team is now in the sports records book. The Dayton Dragons, a class-A farm team, sold out their 815th consecutive game.
The record-setting game was Saturday, July 9. The record was 11.5 seasons in the making.
Officials at Fifth Third Field point to their 22-member entertainment staff for the reason fans keep coming back to the park.
The entertainment staff holds events each game day to keep fans' interest such as toddler races, mascot dances and other crowd pleasers. Besides the obvious dragon mascots, there is also a super hero called 'Roof Man' that fittingly lives on the field's roof.
Even with a sluggish economy, fans keep supporting the team and their favorite pastime - baseball.
