President Obama wins Ohio behind biggest cities

The "five Ohios" broke down into two for President Barack Obama's victory in the pivotal battleground state.
The Democrat carried big-city, industrial, unionized Ohio, and Republican Mitt Romney carried nearly all of the rest of the state.
Obama won Ohio's six biggest counties in terms of votes. Exit polls indicate he won two-thirds of the vote in the biggest cities.
That was enough to offset strong showings by Romney in GOP suburbs and rural areas. Romney also won several traditional bellwether counties.
Voter samples indicated wide support for the Obama-backed auto bailout, helping an industry with plants and thousands of jobs in the northern urban areas of the state.
With all precincts reporting unofficial returns, Obama won with 50.1 percent. That's by some 107,000 votes of the 5.4 million cast.
