CINCINNATI - Police say a man was shot in the back while sitting in his car in a Millvale apartment complex parking lot.

Police say the 27-year-old victim tried to flee the scene and crashed into a power pole in the 1900 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard.

The power pole fell on a car traveling in the opposite direction. Nobody except the shooting victim was injured in the incident.

The victim, whose name has not been released by police, was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The nature of the victim's injuries is unknown but he is listed in critical condition.

Two people have been taken into custody, but so far no arrests have been made.
