CINCINNATI - Police identified the young man killed in an early morning accident on northbound I-71 near the Martin Luther King Drive exit just after 2 a.m. on Sunday Morning.
Officers responded to the scene and found Christopher Walker, 21, next to the high speed lane. Walker was attempting to cross the Interstate on foot when he was struck by a vehicle, according to officers.
The vehicle involved in the incident continued on I-71, police report.
Cincinnati Police had traffic shut down at I-71 northbound at the Lytle Tunnel for several hours. The highway was reopened just after 4 a.m.
Police continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to contact the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
